Privacy: highThe event campsite is on a remote 116-acre ranch; the listing says the closest neighbor is about half a mile away and large groups are welcome.

It can hold the people, tents and cars, and has a water spigot, toilet/outhouse and a 16×20 shade structure. But the listing marks the water non-potable, the creek/pond is seasonal, and high-desert September heat is the opposite of the lake-and-heavy-shade brief. Keep it as a private fallback, not a top choice.

What the second pass ruled out

Mammoth and the closest group camps were not forgotten

These would otherwise belong near the top, but the live calendars or current operating rules remove them for this weekend.

Fastest route to a decision

Bookable first. Private second. Lake calls in parallel.

Council is the best close exact-date discovery; Millerton is still the best complete lake fit. Splitrock is only a privacy winner after the host confirms exclusivity.

Recheck and hold Council or Millerton Large Group before their calendars move.
Ask Splitrock one direct question: “Will all 18 Oak Grove sites—and the grove itself—be exclusive to us?”
Call Lake Piru Group #2, then Lake Hemet C and Cachuma Dakota.
If Sierra scenery beats privacy, open Recreation Point Scout; if privacy beats water, use -G Ranch as the fallback.
